Are You Getting Uncomfortable?

Today I finished up the book, You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero!  GREAT READ by the way.  I highly recommend it for a positive, uplifting, life boost!12002361_10100537085569860_6218415006216777796_oAnyway, there were sooooooo many take aways and I flagged them ALL!!IMG_4457I plan to turn many of them into inspirational quotes images for Pinterest.  Who else is obsessed with pinning quotes?!  Here is one I made today 🙂walk around with sunbeams shootingWell, there was a quote about getting uncomfortable that really struck me.  It struck me so much that I felt the urge to TALK about it rather than just WRITE about it.  So, here is a quick video of me blabbing about getting uncomfortable!  By the way, I originally made the video for and online health and fitness group I am running but it definitely pertains to everyone!  Also, be sure you are following me on Facebook to stay updated about all my online health, fitness, and wellness challenge groups!

Change Your Mindset

I have been reading sooooo many personal development books lately and I am pretty amazed at how I have taken back control of my thoughts!  Even just being more aware of what my brain tries to do to me is progress!  I am truly learning that with ANY big goals (health related or not) you HAVE to learn to change your mindset.

When I start something new, my motivation is high. I am ready to take on anything and invest in anything. Inevitably, the initial motivation wears off and self-doubt starts to creep in. Can I actually do it? Am I dedicated enough? Do I have the patience? Do I have the strength? Am I trying to reach for something that is out of my league? My excuses start to fill my head. I don’t have enough time. I don’t have enough energy. I don’t have enough money. I don’t have enough will power. I don’t want to do it anymore. Then I have to remember that without my health, I would have nothing. There is no amount of money or no length of time that is more valuable than that.  My health is priceless.  Your health is priceless.

Badass Bookclub

Some of you know that I lead an online Badass Bookclub via Facebook that ANYONE can join.  We read personal development books to make us better/happier/healthier people!

Push Yourself

Recently, I have had to push myself outside my comfort zone in sooooo many other areas of my life besides my physical fitness. It is scary. It is hard. It is unknown. It is exciting. It is emotionally exhausting. Some people understand and some people don’t. It WILL all make me a stronger person ultimately. Just like a challenging workout…it’s hard to take the first step, it’s exhausting while you are doing it, it’s still hard even after you’ve done it a few times, and some people will think you are crazy!

21 Day Holiday Squeeze Challenge

Wildtree Bean Taco Sandwich

EASY lunch or snack!!  Like I have said before, I am NOT a fancy cook.  I like food simple, quick, easy, healthy and tasty!  Today I made an open face Wildtree Bean Taco Sandwich for lunch!

Wildtree Bean Taco Sandwich
1/2 cup refried beans
1/2 cup seasoned tomatoes with cilantro
2 tsp Wildtree Taco Seasoning
1 slice Ezekial bread
A little bit of cheese (optional)

Mixed beans, tomatoes, and seasoning together and heat up in microwave. Toast the bread with cheese and then top with bean mixture! You could also top with avocado! Enjoy!
